Juicy beef patties are grilled to perfection, then topped with a slice of melted cheese, smoky grilled pineapple, and a touch of teriyaki or BBQ sauce for extra flavor. The pineapple adds caramelized sweetness that pairs beautifully with the rich beef, creating a burger that feels both hearty and refreshing. Piled high on a toasted bun with crisp lettuce and onion, this burger is sure to impress your crowd.
Ingredients (for 4 burgers):
1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend works best)
4 pineapple rings (fresh or canned, patted dry)
4 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
4 burger buns, toasted
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce or BBQ sauce
Lettuce and red onion slices, for serving
Instructions:
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
Form the ground beef into 4 patties, season with salt and pepper, and brush lightly with olive oil.
Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4–5 min. per side, or until desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
Grill the pineapple rings for 2–3 min. per side until caramelized and lightly charred.
Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1–2 min.
Assemble the burgers: bun base, lettuce, burger patty with cheese, grilled pineapple, onion, and a drizzle of your favorite sauce. Top with the bun lid and serve immediately.
