Gourmandize

Buffalo chicken wings are a tailgating favorite, and grilling them adds an irresistible smoky flavor that takes them to the next level. The wings are seasoned and cooked until crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, then tossed in a classic tangy Buffalo sauce for that signature spicy kick. Grilling keeps the wings light and flavorful while giving them that perfect char that fans of game-day food love.

Ingredients (for 4–6 servings):

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • Celery sticks, carrot sticks, and dressing for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry, then toss with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place wings on the grill and cook for 20–25 min., turning occasionally, until crispy and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  4. While the wings are cooking, whisk together the hot sauce and melted butter in a bowl to make the Buffalo sauce.
  5. Remove the wings from the grill and toss them in the Buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
  6. Serve hot with celery, carrots, and your favorite dipping sauce.
