Choose your underarm products with care. Deodorants and antiperspirants are generally sold together, but they aren't the same thing at all!

Deodorants don't actually stop you from sweating, but instead use alcohol or similar ingredients to target the bacteria that forms in the armpits— which is what produces body odor.

Antiperspirants, on the other hand, use aluminum chloride compounds to literally plug up and constrict sweat glands, so sweat never escapes the body in the first place.
