If D.I.Y. is not your forte, you can use store-bought hanging pots and place them in your window. Another way to take advantage of space is to pair plants in the same pot (some combinations work better than others). For example, mint, sage and thyme will happily grow in the same pot and provide a ready mix of medicinal herbs, to remedy everyday discomforts like headaches and colds.
