Some herbs — like coriander, basil and parsley — can easily regenerate by placing the stems in a glass of water, so you only have to buy them once. Once those stems grow long roots, you can transplant them into a pot. In a couple of weeks new shoots will begin to appear, and soon you've have a complete, healthy plant!
