Here Are Gordon Ramsay's 3 Golden Rules For Dining Out

Rule #1 How To Get A Good Table

If you want to have an unforgettable evening, the first thing to take into consideration is where in the restaurant you'll be eating. If you aren't careful, the restaurant staff may forget your reservation and seat you at small table, wedged next to other diners, or even next to the bathrooms! This can drastically alter your dining experience.

To avoid these inconveniences, Gordon Ramsay recommends the following: always book in advance, ideally between 1 week and 4 hours before (with very prestigious restaurants you may need to book up to 3 months in advance). If the reservation is for two, ask for a table for three. This way you'll be sure to have a comfortable table and not wind up in a tiny corner next to the entrance.
