You Feel Cold More Easily

You've probably heard the idea that overweight people have a tendency to get hot faster (and like to crank up the a/c at your workplace because of it), whereas thin people are always freezing.

While weight isn't the only thing that determines your cold sensitivity, the idea of fat serving as "insulation" isn't completely wrong. After you've shed several pounds, your body will have lower levels of fat, leaving you more prone to cold intolerance than you were before (something which is especially noticeable soon after losing the weight).

You might also notice this effect if you're on a restrictive diet, due to a slowed metabolism. The slower your body is making an effort to burn calories, the less heat it will be producing.
