Cinnamon Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate certainly is cozy, but ever cozier when a  little cinnamon gets involved!

Even though it's more commonly thought of during the winter months, this is the time of year when it starts to become socially acceptable to drink it again.

After all, is there any other way to end a day spent apple-picking, or at the pumpkin farm, other than drinking a cup of hot chocolate?

Try out this take on the classic ... it's the same, but better. Here's what you need:

Ingredients (for 1 person):

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Add the cocoa powder to a mug, along with the sugar, chocolate chips, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Add the milk to a small pot and bring to a simmer over medium-heat.
  3. Remove the milk from the pot to the mug and stir all the ingredients together.
