Smaller Pastas

Smaller pastas like ditalini and rotelle are the perfect choice for heartier soups, like minestrone, because they are similar in size to the diced vegetables and/or pieces of meat. This means that you'll be able to enjoy the perfect spoonful of soup without worrying about cutting long noodles. Orzo does better in broth-based soups and dishes, however.
