The good news is that penne pasta goes with pretty much anything! The pasta's tubular shape and ridges make it particularly adept at catching and holding sauces. Because it is slightly thicker, penne also holds up well when baked or tossed into cold pasta salads (it won't get soggy from creamy dressings or vinaigrettes).
