One of our all-time favorite junk foods—French fries—pair very well with champagne because of their high fat content, saltiness and crunchiness, which complements the acidity and bubbles in the luxurious beverage. Sylvain, an upscale Southern restaurant in New Orleans, even offers the unexpectedly delicious pairing as a menu starter for $90.
