5. Burger King Used To Sell Burgers That Contained Horsemeat
In 2013, Burger King locations in the UK and Ireland cut ties with an Irish meat processor that was found to be selling beef patties that contained trace amounts of horsemeat. Apparently, there weren't any safety risks associated with the beef, but BK prides itself on providing 100% beef burgers, and horsemeat isn't traditionally eaten over there.
