Fay's Wild rice casserole

This wonderful side dish goes great with baked chicken or fish
- 2 boxes Uncle Ben's wild rice ( don't use seasonings)
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 2 small cans sliced mushrooms
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cans beef consomme
- 2 cans water
- salt and pepper to taste
Sour Cream Sweet Potato Pie

A Holiday favorite!
- 1 9 inch unbaked pie crust
- 3 eggs, separated
- 16 oz sweet potatoes, mashed (about 2 cups) Use canned potatoes, or for better flavor, boil sweet potatoes until tender and mash.
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Easy, Creamy Potato Soup

This delicious soup is perfect on a chilly night
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 and 1/3 cups instant potatoes dry
Granny's Texas Baked Beans

Yummy spicy-sweet beans perfect for barbecues!
- 1 16oz. can green lima beans
- 1 16 oz. can red kidney beans
- 1 16 oz. can navy beans,
- 1 large onion , finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 3/4 cups water
- 3 strips of bacon,fried crisp
Chinese beef

A delicious family dinner recipe
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 2 lbs beef tips
- 2 medium bell peppers, cut into strips
- ! pint jar of home canned tomatoes, or 1 12 oz can of tomatoes
- Garlic salt to taste
- 1/2 of a small bottle of soy sauce, or 1/3 of a large bottle
- cooking oil
- flour and water, or cornstarch to thicken
Margie's stuff

This has been a real favorite in my family for many years
- 9 oz. Cool Whip whipped topping
- 1 tall can pineapple, crushed, or tidbits work best
- 1 small pkg jello (flavor of your choosing, but we love lime!)
- 1 and 1/2 cup water
- 1 small carton creamed cottage cheese
- chopped pecans if desired

This is my Granny Carolyn's pound cake recipe, and one that was used frequently as long as I can remember
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 3 sticks of margarine, softened
- 6 eggs
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract

These are crispy refrigerator cookies that my Mom loved to make when I was little
- 2 sticks of butter or margarine
- 1 box dark brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 and a 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 1 to 2 cups finely chopped nuts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
