White Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 11 oz Ghiradeli white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Step 1

Cream shortening, eggs, vanilla, and sugar. Sift flour, salt, and baking soda on the side and mix slowly into creamed mixture. Add white chocolate chips and nuts.

Step 2

Drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Cook at 350 degrees for 16 minutes, until edges are golden brown. Let sit 2 minutes. Transfer to racks to cool.
