This Study Reveals The IDEAL Age Difference In A Relationship (That Will Last)

You may have asked yourself the question, and now researchers in Atlanta have answered it.
A study published by researchers at the Department of Economics at Emory University in Atlanta has discovered the ideal age gap for a lasting relationship.
More than 3,000 people participated in the study, and after crunching the numbers the team determined that a larger age gap is related to a higher divorce rate.
That is, couples with a lower age difference were less at risk of separation, whereas those with a large age gap were very at risk.
Getting specific, a difference in age of one year lowers the risk of divorce to just 3%, a difference of 5 years increases the risk to 18% and a difference of a decade pushes it right up to 39%! That's not even the worst— with a difference of age of 20 years, the risk soars all the way up to 90%!
The researchers concluded that different needs and expectations in regards to sex, and different tastes in leisure activities contributed to the discord.
Some other interesting statistics yielded by the study included:
- Couples who have a child before marriage are 59% less likely to divorce than those who reproduce after matrimony. However, simply having a child while you're married shows a 76 percent decrease in divorce rate.
- When it comes to education, couples with different levels of education are 43% more likely to divorce than those with the same qualifications.
So... if we understood this correctly, we should marry somebody in our own age range, with the same tastes and have a child before wedding bells!
