KITCHEN HACK: How To Brew Coffee Without a Coffee Maker

Need a coffee fix, but don't have a machine at your disposal? Here's a clever trick that will save your day!

Whether you're a casual coffee drinker or an avid addict, most of us can admit that there are times when we just need a cuppa joe.

But what do you do if you don't have any kind of coffee maker at the ready?

Don't panic, because believe it or not: there's a way to brew your java without using a machine! This method is sometimes called "cowboy coffee", and you can do it all using just your stove.

Add water and coffee grounds to a pot, about 1 or 2 tablespoons of coffee per cup of water (depending on your taste). Set the pot on the stovetop and boil.

Remove the solution. Once it's off the heat, the coffee grounds will start to settle at the bottom of the pot. Give it a few minutes to settle completely. Then you can either pour it very carefully into mugs, pour it through a strainer if you have one on hand, or simply use a ladle or a large spoon to scoop the coffee out and transfer to mugs.

This method may not give you the exquisite brew of a fine machine, but it makes a surprisingly good brew and it can be a lifesaver when you're caught in a pinch!
