Listen to them

When your server comes to explain the specials of the day, listen to them and let them finish. Don't just ignore them and talk over them or continue your conversation! Some restaurants even require their servers to give a little spiel explaining the menu and how ordering works (ie. tapas bars, multiple menus, etc.). It might be a bit long sometimes, but remember: they're just doing what they've been told to do.
