A Lack of Routine
With hectic schedules and the demands of everyday life, it happens to everyone: a coffee to go with a pastry for breakfast, a quick take-out sandwich for lunch, and a frozen pizza in the oven for dinner. None of these options are homemade, which makes it difficult to maintain a healthy weight and increases your monthly food budget. Instead, do your body a favor and establish healthy habits. Always try to start your day with a home-cooked breakfast high in protein and complex carbs. Keep hydrated all day long, and set aside a time each week to do some batch cooking for healthy make-ahead lunches. The night before, prepare one or two tasty snacks to take on the go, and when possible, sit down to a shared dinner with family or friends. Mealtimes should be moments to nourish your body and recharge, not afterthoughts.
