Ham and Cheese Souffle

Fluffy, flavorful, and packed with protein, this soufflé is a hands-off brunch winner you can pop in the oven while you prep the rest of your spread. Loaded with diced ham, juicy tomatoes, and melty cheese, it rises beautifully in a loaf pan and slices up easily for serving. It’s elegant enough for guests, but simple enough to make any morning feel special.

Ingredients (for 4-6 servings):

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Gruyère cheese
  • 3/4 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 1 small tomato, diced and drained
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Butter or nonstick spray for greasing
  • Fresh chives or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the eggs and milk until well combined. Stir in the cheese, ham, tomato, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  3. Pour the mixture into the greased loaf pan. Bake for 35–40 min. or until puffed and golden, and the center is set.
  4. Let it cool for 5–10 min. before slicing. Garnish with herbs if desired.
