Ham and Cheese Souffle
Fluffy, flavorful, and packed with protein, this soufflé is a hands-off brunch winner you can pop in the oven while you prep the rest of your spread. Loaded with diced ham, juicy tomatoes, and melty cheese, it rises beautifully in a loaf pan and slices up easily for serving. It’s elegant enough for guests, but simple enough to make any morning feel special.
Ingredients (for 4-6 servings):
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Gruyère cheese
- 3/4 cup cooked ham, diced
- 1 small tomato, diced and drained
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- Butter or nonstick spray for greasing
- Fresh chives or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and milk until well combined. Stir in the cheese, ham, tomato, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
- Pour the mixture into the greased loaf pan. Bake for 35–40 min. or until puffed and golden, and the center is set.
- Let it cool for 5–10 min. before slicing. Garnish with herbs if desired.
