Never sabotage another workout: 22 do's and don'ts

Don't skip meals

It's really important to eat a combination of carbohydrates (fast and slow) and protein within the 30 minutes following your workout. Why? Because it's the window of time when your muscles will best absorb protein (carbs help the absorption process, which is why you can't leave them out). We recommend a glass of low-fat chocolate milk or some high-protein Greek yogurt with blueberries.
