Take hot-cold showers

Hot-cold showers can take a little getting used to, but it's worth the temperature jolt. Studies have shown that when your body is exposed to cold water temperatures, a type of fat called brown fat uses energy to heat up your body and burn off the white fat (accumulated fat cells from overeating and not enough physical activity). So go on and shock your fat away the next time you hit the shower, and tell yourself the discomfort is only temporary.
