Woman Dies of Cancer After Claiming Her Vegan Diet Had Cured It

The Cancer Return
In a video posted in October, Liz revealed that her aunt's cancer had returned. Worse yet, what had begun as breast cancer had now spread throughout the woman's entire body. She was now suffering from an aggressive cancer in her blood, liver, and lungs, and she had a tumor behind her eye that was disrupting her vision.
By December, Mari had gone to the hospital. But it was far too late: before the end of the year, she succumbed to the disease.
In an interview with Babe, her niece Liz still refused to give up her convictions in the diet's power. Instead, she claimed that Mari "was inconsistent in her diet and spiritual life."
She even blamed her mother for forcing her aunt to start chemotherapy again and to break her diet, and for using a microwave: "My mom started to tell her that she needed to eat meat now. She said it was OK to use things that she didn't want to use. My aunt was very against the microwave because of cancer-causing issues with that, and my mom would cook her things using the microwave."
