5 Steps to Perfectly Cooked Rice

2) Add water

The trick to perfect rice really depends on the water to rice ratio, for every 1 cup of rice you should add 1 3/4 cup of water. 

If you have washed your rice first, simply bring the water to a boil in a pot and then add the rice. Also add a pinch of salt. 

If you've toasted your rice in a pan, then add the water and some salt into the pan and bring it all to a boil.

  1. Boil the desired amount of small potatoes until tender.
  2. Spread on a lined baking tray, flatten slightly using a cup or jar. Don't over-flatten them!

  4. Top with bacon slices approximately the same size as the potatoes.
  5. Drizzle liberally with balsamic vinegar.
