Stuffed Italian Bread

Preheat the oven to 350 F
- 1 Italian loaf, about 12 inches long
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- 3 tsp minced onion
- 2-3 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
- 3 tsp chopped parsley (add more if you wish)
- 12 oz grated cheese (a mix of white cheddar and monterey jack)
HOMEMADE FREEZER BISCUITS

Mix dry ingredients together
- 4 cups flour
- 2 Tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shortening, butter, or coconut oil (I used all coconut oil in the last batch and it worked well, but they did taste a little coconut-y.)
- 1 3/4 cup milk

- For the noodle dough:

- 2 ouncescolby cheese, grated

- For the Sauerkraut Filling:
- 3 slicesbacon, diced

- 3 1/2 cups packaged sauerkraut (not canned)
- 1 1/2 tablespoonstomato paste
- 2 teaspoonssugar
- 1/3 cupchicken broth or 1/3 cupbeef broth
Mashed Potato Cakes

Divide the mashed potatoes into 8 equal portions
- 2 cups chilled mashed potatoes (see Note)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, for dredging

Fry the bacon until crisp and/or pork sides till almost charred; remove from pan and set aside

- 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 1/2 lbs spicy sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices

- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 4 cups onion, chopped
- 2 cups celery, chopped

- 5 cups chicken stock or water flavored with chicken bouillon
- 2 or 3 cups long grain rice
- 2 tbsp seasoning salt

- 8-10 cups chicken broth (or beef, pork, or vegetable broth)
- ½ cup cooked meat, chicken, beef, pork (optional, save from making broth or cook in the broth)
- 2-3 potatoes, peeled and cut into small pieces
- ¼ cup pearled barley
- ½ Tablespoon butter
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 carrot, shredded
- 1 cup of vlasik or polish Dill pickles - shredded
- salt, pepper

- 1 ½ tbsp of cornstarch; a little water to dissolve it
