How to slice soft cheese evenly without a cheese knife
Soft cheeses, such as fresh Mozzarella can be difficult to cut because they tend to droop and lose their original form more easily. To get neat slices of even thickness without going to too much trouble, try the dental floss trick. Simply take a piece of floss that's long enough, and use it to cut across the cheese. It's basically what cheese makers do but with a stainless steel wire. This will help you avoid unnecessarily dirtying a cheese knife (which is for serving, not for prep).
