Don't go for fiber pre-workout

In order to avoid unpleasant surprises during your workout, don't eat any foods beforehand that might cause digestive discomfort. There's nothing worse than having to stop running because of a bad stomachache. You don't have to eliminate these from your diet, but leave them out of your pre-workout meals: legumes (lentils, beans, peas, etc.) and high-fiber whole grains.
