For one of the best burgers in the country, check out The Thurman Cafe in the German Village district of Columbus, Ohio. This local institution has been family-owned since 1942, becoming famous for its burgers and especially the eponymous Thurmanator, composed of one 12-ounce burger, bacon, cheddar, another 12-ounce burger, sauteed onions and mushrooms, ham, mozzarella, American cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle and banana peppers. This might just be one burger that's totally acceptable to eat with a fork and knife.
