Potatoes and Buttons
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 potatoes; peeled and diced
- Onion; diced

Mix egg and spices. Add flour and mix. Add more flour a little at a time until no longer sticky.
Roll out to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into strips and then cut each strip into small pieces.
Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add diced potatoes and noodle pieces. Boil about 15 minutes.
While potatoes are boiling, saute onion in butter.
Drain potatoes and noodles and add to the sauted onion. Cook until browned as desired. Stir as little as possible.
The more you stir this the longer it takes to brown properly. Also do not over-boil. The noodles will become tough and the potatoes will fall apart when frying.
