Ingredients

  • Raw rice - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 1/2 cup
  • Mustard seeds
  • Ural dal (broken)
  • Green chillies
  • Ginger
  • Coconut
  • Salt
  • Pepper-jeera powder
  • Curry leaves

Preparation

Step 1

Wash rice in water.
Dry with a cloth.
Grind it into coarse rawa.

Step 2

If Rawa is 1 cup, boil 1 1/2 cups water.
Saute Mustard seeds, Ural dal, Green chillies, Ginger & Curry leaves. Add water to it.

Step 3

When water comes to a boil, add coconut, salt, pepper-jeera powder and rice.

Step 4

Make it to a thick dough.
Remove it from the stove and make them into oval balls.

Step 5

Steam it like idlis.
