Fresh Apple Cheese Bake

  • 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, sliced ( 9 cups)
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh orange rind
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • Cheese Crumble
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh orange rind
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

Step 1

In large bowl combine apples with remaining ingredients. Turn into a 2 quart baking dish. Top with Cheese Crumble. Bake in 375 degrees oven for 45 minutes until apples are tender. Serve with meat or as dessert.

Step 2

Cheese Crumble:

In bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, orange rind,= and cheese. Cut in butter until mixture resembles crumble mix. Pour over top of Apple mixture.

Sweet Apple Cinnamon Rolls

1 apple
Pie crust dough
1/8 cup brown sugar
1/8 cup almond powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Egg yellow(s)


1. Halve an apple and slice each half finely.

2. Cut the top of a pie crust to get a straight edge.

3. Spread the brown sugar and almond powder all over the dough.

4. To get the first row, line up the apples in a straight line and cut out the section. Continue until all the dough is all used up.

5. Mix egg yellow and milk and cover each roll with the mixture.

6. If you wish, sprinkle a little extra brown sugar on top of each roll.

7. Bake in the oven for 18 min at 350° F.
