  • Rice- 1 cup
  • Moon dal- 1/8 cup
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Turmeric
  • Peppercorn
  • Jeera
  • Coconut
  • For sauteeing
  • Curry leaves
  • Green chillies- 1
  • Ghee- 2 tablespoon.
  • Cashew nuts -10
  • Ginger- 1 inch
  • Jeera

Step 1

Pressure cook rice and moong dal in 4 times water.

Step 2

Saute Jeera, Cashews, chillies, curry leaves and ginger in ghee.

Step 3

Add Turmeric and cooked rice and dal.

Step 4

Crush pepper and jeera in a mortar and add to it. Add salt.

Step 5

Finally add coconut(shredded) and simmer for 5 minutes.
