Boiled Crawfish

Ingredients

  • 30 lb of crawfish
  • 8 red potatoes
  • 4 corn cobs, divided into 3
  • 2.5 pckgs dry crawfish boil
  • 1/8 cup liquid crab boil
  • 2 lb bag of ice
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Fill a 32 qt pot with cold water, bring to a boil. Add in crawfish boil, crab boil, and salt and pepper.

Step 2

Place the potatoes and corn in the boiling water first for 30 min. Remove corn and potatoes and place in cooler.

Step 3

Allow water return to a boil. Place half of the crawfish in the pot. Boil 3 - 5 min. NO MORE OR CRAWFISH WILL BE OVERCOOKED

Step 4

Repeat with second half of crawfish. Place first half in cooler and pour half of the ice over crawfish. Once second batch of crawfish is cooked place in cooler and pour the last of ice over crawfish.

Step 5

Allow to cool for 10 min. Pour over a table and enjoy!

Do not boil crawfish more than 5 min or it will be overcooked.
