Ethiopia

In Ethiopia, there is a festival called Buhe on August 19th, a day when the Ethiopian Orthodox Church celebrates the Transfiguration of Jesus on Mount Tabor. Then families create small bonfires in their neighborhood to gather around and sing songs. Children also often go from home to home performing a song called "Hoya Hoye" or songs of praise, in exchange for fresh dough, injera (Ethiopian flatbread) or money.
