Place hazelnuts in a blender, add water and blend for about 2 minutes—until nuts are finely ground and the mixture looks creamy. Then filter this mixture through a cheesecloth and set aside. Start brewing the espresso, and heat the hazelnut mixture. Then combine the two and pour into a large cup. Add sugar, if desired.
