Rinse your coffee filters

If you're still making your coffee with a drip coffeemaker (and we really hope you're using a French press instead), try rinsing the coffee filters before using them. They can leave a papery taste in your coffee, so if you rinse them with hot water first, it can help to get rid of that taste before the coffee passes through the filter.
