How Technology is Influencing Food

One of the biggest influences on how we eat is Instagram. The photo-sharing social media app made many restaurant owners ask themselves "Is it Instagrammable?" once they realized that people were taking pictures of their food and sharing it with their followers. It changed the way they present not only their dishes, but also the restaurants themselves. While some more well-known chefs and restaurants have banned food photos, still more encourage them and have carefully curated Instagram feeds. Additionally, they recognize that a photo from the right "influencer"—users with a huge following—could turn their restaurant into the hottest spot in town.

Chef Tips and Tricks
These quick and easy chicken quesadillas are the perfect, last-minute family dinner!
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup of chives, chopped
- 1 tsp. of Mexican spice mix
- 4 Tortillas
- Cheddar
- Salt, to taste
METHOD:
- Put shredded chicken breast, tomato sauce, chives, and mexican spice mix in a bowl and mix together.
- Lay out the tortillas. Place a slice of cheddar in the center, and cover with the chicken mix.
- Fold up tortillas, and heat in a frying pan until golden.
- Enjoy!
