Cheeseburger Pie

An easy to make one dish recipe with cornbread on the bottom meat and vegetables on top

Ingredients
- Two pounds of lean ground beef
- two cans of string beans
- two cans of mexican corn
- two cans of golden cream of mushroom soup
- (prefer Campbells) two boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix
- two eggs and 1/2 cup of milk
- 1-1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- slices of American cheese or sprinkle more cheddar cheese to garnish the top

Preparation
Step 1
Brown meat until done, add very little salt if desired and pepper to taste, the vegetables, soup and cheese will have salt in them and drain grease
Step 2
Stir in vegetables and soup and let it come to a slight boil, adding cheese last just before pouring into baking dish
Step 3
Pour mixture into a 9x12 or 13 nonstick baking dish
Step 4
mix jiffy mix according to directions using the two eggs and milk. When blended well pour over the meat and vegetables covering well
Step 5
bake at 400 degree oven for 30 min. or until cornbread is a golden brown. Let stand for about ten minutes befor cutting
Step 6
Cut into squares and turn upside down on plate with bread on bottom, top with cheese if desired
