Prajitura cu morcovi – Carrot cake

Preheat oven to 175 degrees C
- 4 eggs
- 300 ml vegetable oil
- 400 g white sugar
- 10 ml vanilla extract
- 250 g flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- pinch of salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 350 g grated carrots
- 150 g chopped walnuts or pecans
- Frosting
- 500 g Mascarpone cheese, softened
- 4 table spoons of confectioners’ sugar
- 5 ml vanilla extract

- 200 g strawberries/ raspberries/ blueberries – or a mix of forrest fruits
- 2 egg whites
- 200 g sugar

- 1 vanata mare taiata bucati
- 4 tulpini de telina Apio taiate
- 1 ardei gras rosu,fara seminte si taiat cubulete
- 1 ardei gras verde
- 1 ceapa taiata mare
- 5 rosii mari tocate cuburi
- 3-4 catei de usturoi,tocati
- 6 linguri de ulei de masline
- 150 g masline verzi (de preferat fara samburi)
- 50 g capere scurse
- 2 linguri otet balsamic sau otet de vin rosu
- 2 linguri zahar tos
- busuioc verde (eu nu ma avut)
Sarmalute - Romanian Cabbage Rolls

Romanian stuffed cabbage rolls
- 2 to 3 lbs ground pork (or whatever meat you prefer)
- 1/2 cup long grain rice (I prefer basmati)
- 1-2 onions chopped
- parsley
- dill
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 L tomato juice
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large sour cabbage
- 15 slices of bacon
Ciorba de Perisoare - Meatball soup

To make the meatballs, mix together all the ingredients
- Broth:
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 medium carrots, finely chopped
- ¼ celery root, finely chopped
- 1 parsley root, finely chopped
- 200 ml bors or lemon juice to taste
- 2 l of water
- 2 cubes of beef stock
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- Meatballs:
- 300 g minced meat (you can use any minced meat)
- 75 g rice
- 1 egg,
- ¼ chopped onion
- 1 spoon finely chopped parsley

Mazare cu pui - Chicken and Peas

- 4 chicken legs
- 700 g frozen peas
- 1 large onion
- chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons of chopped dill
- 1 teaspoon of chopped thyme
- 1 teaspoon of chopped rosemary
- 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
- 2 teaspoons of sweet chili pepper
- salt and pepper
