A great banana bread recipe with a wonderful cinnamon flavor to give it an extra kick. This recipe is a real winner and will please all who try it.

Ingredients

  • butter
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (DO NOT substitute with any low fat)
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1./2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 F & grease the pan.

Step 2

Peel the bananas & mash in a bowl unti there aren't any more lumps.

Step 3

In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, oil, & sour cream until smooth.

Step 4

Add cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, salt, bananas, & nuts (optional) into egg mixture.

Step 5

Add flour & stir until just combined. Do not over stir.

Step 6

Pour batter into pan & bake for about 1 hour & 10 minutes or until golden brown & risen.
