Ingredients
- 2 Cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups low fat milk
- 2 large eggs
- lightly beaten
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- melted
- 1 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts

Preparation
Step 1
Place the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl; stir with a whisk to blend
Step 2
Add the milk, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in melted butter. Let batter stand 5 minutes.
Step 3
Preheat Waffle Iron
Step 4
Stir chocolate chops and chopped walnuts into battter
Step 5
Pour 1 1/2 cups batter onto center of the lower grid
Step 6
When light turns on again remove waffles
