Charlotte royale

This pleasing cake comes from the French charlotte cake. It's made of rolled chocolate spongecake spread with a layer of cream and cut into sliced rounds to line a charlotte cake mold. The center is then filled with more cream, and covered with the remaining spongecake rounds. Chic and tasty!
