Preparation
Step 1
Saute chopped onions, carrots and parsnips until soft and tender.
Step 2
Let stand in fridge until chilled.
Step 3
Puree in a blender. Pour back in the pan.

Heat up, add cream, salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5
Serve with steamed dumplings and thinly sliced beef.
Step 6
Serve with cranberry sauce and sour cream.
