  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 3 ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup melted butter



Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2

Mix dry ingredients, set aside.

Step 3

In a separate bowl mix egg, milk, water and melted butter.

Step 4

Once both bowls are mixed well, add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, only until moistened, do not over mix.

Step 5

Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes in a greased 8X8” pan.
