Bread

Opt for fresh bread from your local bakery or bakery aisle at the grocery store. It's always nicer, especially because it will make fewer crumbs than toast. Before you add butter, ensure that it is soft enough to spread easily as this will also help prevent crumbs. Avoid jams, honey or other condiments which are likely to drip everywhere. If you can, the ideal is to butter your bread before bringing the breakfast platter to bed.
