Stuffed Peppers

  • 6 large bell peppers
  • 1 TBS olive oil
  • 1 TBS butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 4 TBS Bourbon Barrel Foods Worcestershire
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 2 TBS dried basil
  • 3 TBS Bourbon Smoked Salt
  • 3 TBS Bourbon Smoked Pepper
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cup cooked rice

Step 1

Cut the top off the peppers and take out the seeds and inside. Boil for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Add butter and olive oil to a separate pan and cook vegetables and spices for 10 min on medium heat.

Step 3

Mix egg, beef, and rice in a separate bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup tomato mixture into the beef. If desired, pour the remaining tomato mixture into a baking dish. Stuff each pepper and place in the baking dish.

Bake at 350 for 65 minutes.
