Zesty Lemon Pavlova
Named for the famous ballerina Anna Pavlova, this delicate lemon pavlova is simply divine.
INGREDIENTS
- Eggs
- Confectioner's sugar
- Fresh lemon juice
- Sugar
- Flour
- Butter
- Lemon zest
METHOD
- Separate egg yolks and whites
- In a bowl, whisk egg whites
- Add confectioner's sugar
- Distribute on baking pan and flatten center lightly with a spoon
- Bake for 30 minutes at 250 degrees
- While that's baking, squeeze fresh lemon juice into a bowl
- Add egg yolks, sugar, and flour then whisk together
- Add butter and whisk again
- Take the merigues out of the oven once they're ready
- Spoon the filling into the center of the meringues
- Grate lemon rind and sprinkle the zest over the top of the pavlovas
- Serve!

- 8 pound beef roast
- 3/4 cup prepared horseradish
- 8 cloves mashed garlic
- 2 tablespoons kosher or sea salt
- 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard

- 2 tablespoons fine chopped dill fronds
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

- 1 pound halved red potatoes
- 1 pound halved carrots
- 2 medium halved red onions
- 2 medium halved yellow onions
- 2 medium halved zucchini squash
- 3 medium halved beets
- 2 cups homemade beef or vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- Extra gin or water

Over MED heat, cook sausage and onions
- 1 lb. sausage meat, or sausages with casing removed
- 2 tbs. onion, finely chopped
- 6 tbs. flour
- 4 C. milk
- 1/2 teas. sage
- 1/4 teas. salt
- dash nutmeg
- dash hot sauce
- warm biscuits
