10 pleasing vegetable purees that beat plain ol' mashed potatoes


Regular mashed potatoes are so simple and tasty! But they can get old, so why not branch out a bit with zucchini, cauliflower purees, etc.?


In a large pot of salted water, cook some potatoes and a beetroot. Puree in a food processor, then stir in some cream, nutmeg and salt. It's delicious with pan-fried fish and a sprinkling of chopped fresh herbs.
