Pesto

Pesto is made with fresh basil, olive oil, garlic, pine nuts and grated Parmesan. Hailing from Italy, this sauce has become ultra-famous worldwide. Originally used as a pasta sauce, pesto can now be found on sandwiches, pizzas, soups or even meat. You can also try making pesto rosso, which contains sundried tomatoes.

Pesto is so versatile that it can be served on literally anything. Why not try making pesto chicken? It’s the perfect weeknight dinner that can be made in less than 10 minutes!

Start by cutting chicken breast into small cubes and brown in some butter. Add a chopped onion, a couple of garlic cloves, a few spoons of red or green pesto and a dollop of sour cream. Slowly cook until the chicken is cooked through, and serve with rice or pasta.
