Perk up your plate: How to cook with coffee

How to use ground coffee?

Ground coffee can be used to infuse milk or cream in dessert preparations. For example, you can attempt to make a coffee-flavored panna cotta or whipped cream. Another tasty option is to incorporate the mixture into your creme brulee for that subtle coffee bitterness in an otherwise sweet dessert.  Alternatively, you can let coffee infuse warm milk and filter it into cream preparations for delicious desserts, ice creams or sorbets.

Not just for your sweet tooth, ground coffee is worthy of a spot on your spice rack, next to the cinnamon sticks or cardamom pods, both of which go very well with coffee flavoring. You can also mix the grounds with spices to make a nice meat rub as coffee helps to tenderize meat.
