10 secrets to the perfect holiday cheese plate

Want to up your cheese platter game for holidays or casual get-togethers? Here are 10 serving, eating and storage rules to live by.

The cheese platter

For practicality, place the varieties which crumble easily in the center and the harder ones around the edges. Never serve cheese directly from the fridge—cold cheese hardly has any flavor. Allow it to warm to room temperature first but don't unwrap it until ready to serve.
